A One Of A Kind Vacation Treat

Hotel is a word derived from French "hôtel" which is referred to as a French version of a townhouse or any other building seeing different frequent visitors, rather than a place offering accomodation. In contemporary French usage, hôtel now has the same meaning as the English term. Hotel can also be descibe as a place for relaxation and a place for a stress-free vacation. I have already sited some hotel in my older post, but another hotel that I would like to feature is the Four Seasons Hotels and Resort at Hualalai, Island of Hawaii. It is set on Hawaii Island's exclusive Kona-Kohala Coast, this showpiece oceanfront resort captures the essence of Hawaiian design, culture and tradition. I have decided to feature these beautiful man-made creation because it ranked number 1 out of 14 hotels in Kailua-Kona and bagged the Travelers Choice award in 2013.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resort accommodation includes a total of 243 expensive guest rooms and suites, 125 rooms of which has an outdoor lava-rock garden showers and 51 luxurious suites and villas. They also have 7 swimming pools and 5 ocean-side restaurants and lounges. The resort was designed by Hill Glazier Architects, with original interior design by Wilson and Associates. The landscape architecture was by Bensley Design with Art Direction by Julie Cline. These designers and architects worked together to create an amazing resort, bungalows are connected by landscaped paths around pools, with guest rooms designed and decorated with indigenous materials like rattan, bamboo and lava rock, real and artificial trees, plants and flowers are everywhere, even their respective rooms have artificial mixed indoor succulent plants on the table and great lighting on the walls and bathrooms. They made sure that the perfect view of the Pacific Ocean and Maui island can be seen on the horizon on the guest rooms and while dining out or walking down the beach. The four season was once affected by the tsunami last 2011 from the Sendai Earthquake that devastated Japan. They were forced to closed the resort for six weeks for repairs. Good thing that the pool area and grounds, 12 guest rooms and a restaurant were the ones who got affected and not the entire resort or island.

The Hulalai Spa from the resort offers a unique experience using soothing elements of Hawaii to personally suit every guest's needs. A variety of ingredients like black lava salt, hibiscus and crushed macadami nuts along with your prefered scented oil are mixed especially to create a personalize spa treatment for your tired body. Seaside golf is also a one of a kind experience that they offer with a carefully groomed course. Tennis and Fitness Facilities are also available. You will never go out of activities and you'll surely enjoy staying at this AAA Five Diamond Rated Hotel.
